Oliver Sedlinger (42) and his agency will be representing the Steigenberger Hotel Group in the source and target market of China with immediate effect, the hotel group informs in a recent press release.
In this capacity, Mr. Sedlinger will be responsible for enhancing the market presence and strengthening the positioning of the hotel brands of Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts, InterCityHotels and Jaz in the City within a market that is of great importance to the company group.
Oliver Sedlinger has more than 15 years of experience in China, a period which has seen him achieve success in a variety of executive management roles including at the German National Tourist Board (GNTB). As the owner of a consulting and marketing agency that specialises in tourism, he represents and supports international clients in cultivating the Chinese market.
“We will be undergoing strong growth over the next few years,” said Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG. “Oliver Sedlinger is an extremely experienced and well networked representative for us on the Chinese market. He provides a channel whereby we can expand our presence and raise awareness of our brands and worldwide locations amongst Chinese travellers. This is something from which our hotels in China will also benefit. In addition to our hotel in Beijing, we will be developing six further hotels in the country by 2018.”
